For more than 130 years, lawyers have relied on the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rating while searching for their own expert attorneys. This rating represents the pinnacle of professional excellence. It is achieved only after an attorney has been reviewed and recommended by their peers - members of the bar and the judiciary.
About Thatcher A. Stone: a short profile:
After graduating from UVA with a degree in Economics in 1978 and the Law School in 1982, Stone spent 25 years on Wall Street financing new Boeing and Airbus aircraft literally all over the world while also engaged in commercial and estate litigation. He advised a White House-led task force about aviation insurance after 9-11 and he regularly represented the U.S. Export-Import Bank in aircraft financings. A case he brought against Northwest and Delta on behalf of a frequent flyer and which he won twice in the Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit against an Am Law 100 law firm – once on appeal from a District Court in San Diego and once on rehearing - will be heard before the U.S. Supreme Court in the October 2013 term. He practices in New York, and lives in Keswick, Virginia. He is a Lecturer at the UVA Law School.
