
New York City's Who's Who Gather to Benefit Caribbean

NEW YORK, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) will host its Rhythms of the Caribbean Ball on Friday, June 10th at The Plaza Hotel as part of Caribbean Week. The event will feature live music, delectable Caribbean cuisine, and an opportunity to network with friends of the Caribbean. Approximately 300 guests including elected and appointed government officials, business professionals, and members of the Caribbean Tourism Organization will be in attendance.
"The Rhythms of the Caribbean Ball is the perfect combination of an up-scale event with the music, sounds, and beats of the Caribbean," stated Fernando Abreu, CTO's Deputy Director of Marketing. "This event is CTO's opportunity to honor those that have contributed significantly to development in the Caribbean, and also raise funds and give back to the communities in the Caribbean."
Additional event highlights include Caribbean rum tasting, authentic Caribbean cuisine, and folkloric performances. The event requires ticket for admission.
