Addition of Dr. Desai, Clinical Instructor of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, Expands NYGA's Hospital Network
NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Gastroenterology Associates, L.L.P. (NYGA), welcomes Jay C. Desai, M.D. to its top-rated practice. Dr. Desai is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at New York University's Langone Medical Center where he recently completed his fellowship in gastroenterology.
Dr. Desai graduated with research honors from Tufts University School of Medicine and he has published in leading gastroenterology journals and presented at national medical conferences. He has a strong clinical interest in improving colorectal cancer screening techniques and supporting increased compliance.

Dr. Desai's research focuses on improving endoscopy performance and studying the effects of commonly prescribed medications in the gastrointestinal track. His work has been presented at Digestive Diseases Week (DDW) and he received "Poster of Distinction" recognition at DDW in 2013. He will also serve as a Digestive Disease Research Foundation Mentor in 2014.
