Several Phillips Lytle LLP Partners to Serve in Key Roles in the NYSWA Event
BUFFALO, N.Y., June 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Adam Walters, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, one of the region's best known law firms, and secretary of the New York State Wireless Association, will serve as Chair of this year's trade show and conference.
Douglas W. Dimitroff, a partner with Phillips Lytle and President of NYSWA, has been appointed Keynote Speaker Chair for the trade show and conference.
Christopher B. Fisher, Vice President of NYSWA, and a partner with Cuddy & Feder LLP, has been appointed Educational Programming Chair. Adrian Berezowsky, Vice President, IVI Telecom Services, Inc. and Thomas E. Smith, President, Jacobs Telecommunications, Inc, will serve as Sponsorship/Exhibit Co-Chairs.
Mary C. St. Mary, Trade Commissioner at Canadian Consulate General of Buffalo, has been appointed Cross-Border Chair. Joe Messineo, Mobility Sales Director, AT&T, will serve as Golf Chair.
The theme of the 2012 NYSWA event is "Wireless, Every Day, Every Way," and will focus on the key role wireless plays in today's society.
The conference will educate and connect the many disciplines within the wireless industry, and will provide targeted programming to benefit representatives of municipalities and governments across New York State who interact with the industry.
The 2012 conference will feature keynote speakers, including Mark Pecen, Sr. Vice President, R&D, Research In Motion Limited; Peter Rysavy, President, Rysavy Research LLC; James D. Young, COO, Crown Castle; New York State Senator George D. Maziarz and Michael T.N. Fitch, President & CEO, PCIA - The Wireless Infrastructure Association.
Workshops will include: WIFI, DAS and Small Cells - Curing the Capacity Crunch; The Wireless Way to a Smarter Grid – Smart Antenna Systems and Other Bright Ideas; Tower Technology – Green Designs and Advanced Construction Techniques; Mobile Healthcare (mHealth) - Technical Evolution, Opportunities and Challenges; New Federal Laws and New York Cases - Legal Strategies for Siting Success; Public Safety Networks in New York – What's Next for First Responders; and NYSWA's Model Ordinance for Wireless Infrastructure Siting – New approaches to conflict avoidance, consultants and municipal planning for wireless services.
In addition, approximately 30 vendors, including tower companies, infrastructure and wireless carriers, and others that support wireless carriers across the U.S., will be available to provide attendees with more information on their products and services.
The New York State Wireless Association was formed in 2007 to provide an official forum for the cultivation of relationships and exchange of ideas between wireless telecommunications professionals in New York and users of wireless technology to create a platform for a unified voice among the wireless industry.
