"The Nature Generation conveys our sincere belief that we are all responsible for taking care of the environment," said Board Chairman Peter Trick. "Educators, businesses and parents alike have joined to carry the mantle forward using our tools and resources to give youth in their communities an appreciation for nature and an enduring sense of stewardship."
Since its inception in 2004, the environmental education nonprofit has reached thousands of youth through its Read Green and Teach Green programs. With the recent launch of its free internet based E3 Environmental classroom games for students, NatGen expanded its reach and now brings fun interactive computer games to educators across the nation. NatGen also supports the 10 acre Chapman DeMary Trail outdoor nature classroom in Loudoun County, Va., and presents the national Green Earth Book Award annually to children's and young adult book authors who best raise the awareness of the beauty of our natural world and the responsibility to protect it.
NatGen also has a new location, logo and website. Thanks to the generous in-kind donation of office space from SRA International, NatGen is now located at:
