NewzSocial Goes International: First Spanish News Magazine and i18n for iPad

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and SANTIAGO, Chile, Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Newzstand Corp. and Play Producciones (Chile) announced today that the NewzSocial App for the iPad is available in Spanish with South American content for iPad users in South America. Using its new country and language-sensing feature, NewzSocial automatically selects content from publications that are relevant to the iPad user's region and language. NewzSocial is also now the first social news magazine app for the iPad to be fully localized with a Spanish user interface, help screens and content from South America.

With NewzSocial, users can harness the power of their social network to discover and share the experience of reading news. They can create their own news channels on any topic, share channels with friends, and "favorite" articles that are a "must read" within a channel. In this version of NewzSocial, publication sources and news channels have been tagged with country and language settings to enable international content to reach specific global audiences.

The localized Spanish version is available for any user with iPad settings set for Spanish. Users with German, Japanese, or Mandarin Chinese iPad settings will also be able to see localized channels in their relevant language.
