WALDWICK, N.J., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Nexcore Technologies, Inc. of Waldwick, an original equipment manufacturer of medical devices, today announced it has acquired the Meditron line of gastroenterology endoscopy products from CooperSurgical, Inc. of Trumbull, CT.
Milton Frank, President & CEO of Nexcore Technologies, said the acquisition is an important component of his company's growth in gastroenterology endoscopy products, noting that the Meditron product line is known throughout the medical community for quality, reliability and competitive pricing.
"A key component of this acquisition is our company's dedication to customer service," said Frank, noting the product line of pumps, probes and electro-surgical generators are all manufactured at the company's 30,000-square-foot facility in Waldwick. "We recognize the critical importance of these products to physicians, surgical centers and hospitals. That is why we have set up our internal systems to ship the same day as orders are made."
"This divestiture of a non-strategic asset will serve to consolidate our position in women's health while allowing Nexcore to use their resources in gastroenterology to expand this important technology," said Robert Auerbach, MD, Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer of CooperSurgical.
The Meditron line is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexcore Technologies. Terms of the agreement with CooperSurgical are not being disclosed.
