Nexion Travel Group Advisors Seeing Strong Demand for Travel Despite Global Concerns

More than 400 travel advisors in U.S., Canada were polled in April

IRVING, Texas, May 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Despite global uncertainty, demand for travel remains strong in 2025, according to a survey of 444 Nexion Travel Group members in the United States and Canada conducted in April.

So far in the new year, an overwhelming majority of travel advisors affiliated with Nexion, the travel industry's premier host travel agency, have reported no slowdown in bookings or cancellations of travel plans.

When clients do change their travel plans, the reasons cited most often include economic uncertainty, 36 percent; geopolitical concerns, 29 percent; and changes in discretionary spending, 27 percent. However, travel advisors indicated that these factors have not significantly impacted their overall business activity.

"We understand from this survey of our members that there are broader concerns affecting travel," said Jackie Friedman, President, Nexion Travel Group. "Despite those issues, Nexion travel advisors are still seeing steady demand from their leisure and business clients, who are planning and booking a variety of trips."

When asked to describe the age range of the majority of their clients, about half of survey respondents indicated they were from 46 to 60 years old; 30 percent said the majority were age 61 or older; and 20 percent said most of their clients were between 31 and 45 years old.
