NextAdvisor.com Reviews Celeb-Backed Fashion Clubs to Help Online Shoppers Get the Best Style for Their Buck
In-Depth Reviews of StyleMint, ShoeDazzle, JustFabulous and JewelMint
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NextAdvisor.com, the leading independent review site for online services, today announced the debut of its new fashion club category, providing in-depth, independent reviews, analysis and ratings of these trendy new celebrity-backed shop-at-home style services to help consumers get the best bang for their buck.
NextAdvisor.com editors reviewed four fashion clubs: Kim Kardashian's ShoeDazzle, offering shoes, purses, jewelry and accessories; the Olsen twins' StyleMint, featuring stylish t-shirts; BabyPhat designer Kimora Lee Simmons' JustFabulous, offering shoes, purses, jewelry, accessories and denim; and Kate Bosworth-backed JewelMint, featuring jewelry. Each club was rated on several criteria with special attention being paid to product quality, shopping experience and customer service.
"These subscription-based clubs are making it super convenient and affordable for even the busiest women to stay on top of the latest trends and get a personalized shopping experience," said Polina Polishchuk, fashion editor at NextAdvisor.com. "We thoroughly evaluated each from end-to-end, starting with how well their 'get-to-know-you' surveys hit the mark with recommendations based on your personal style, all the way through the return process."
All of the reviewed clubs are free to join, so users will not be charged until they purchase the monthly service. Once shoppers sign up and take the survey, they'll receive a personalized selection of styles to choose from each month: shoes, t-shirts or accessories to fit their self-proclaimed style. Customers can then choose from their personalized selection and order an item. Ranging from $29.99 to $39.95, each of the clubs has a set monthly price and some even offer discounts on first purchases and other special deals. If they do not like the fashion club's selection one month, customers can choose to skip a month of service and not be charged. If customers aren't happy with any item, all the reviewed fashion clubs offer free returns - with a restocking fee in some cases.
To conduct the review, NextAdvisor.com editors and employees signed up for the services, took the style quizzes, ordered items, photographed the results and even returned the products to get a feel for the entire process over the course of two months. The resulting NextAdvisor.com research provides unbiased reviews that reflect these first-person experiences.
Additional fashion club subscription services will be added to NextAdvisor.com in the near future. To read the complete NextAdvisor.com fashion club comparison, ratings and reviews, visit www.nextadvisor.com/fashion_clubs/index.php.
