OJAI, Calif., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Security alarm technology developer and service provider NextAlarm® Monitoring Services Inc. today announced that it has provided premium security equipment and services for the new Into Tomorrow Radio & TV studios in Miami, Florida. "Into Tomorrow with Dave Graveline" is a respected radio show covering the consumer electronics industry. The show recently moved into new larger studios, and a complete NextAlarm security solution is in place to protect the location.

On the air for over 17 years, "Into Tomorrow" is broadcast on 173 AM & FM radio stations nationwide, and is also available online, and from other sources worldwide. The program, hosted by veteran broadcaster Dave Graveline, covers the entire consumer electronics industry, and is well-known for its extensive coverage of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new studios are located in the Miami Lakes Broadcast Center at Don Shula's Hotel on Main Street in Miami Lakes. They are situated on the ground floor with windows, allowing passersby to view the production of the show, but also presenting a security concern. NextAlarm has been chosen to secure the location with an alarm system and video surveillance.

The backbone of the installation is the Abbra Professional Series alarm system. The Abbra is a wireless alarm system with a range of peripherals for any situation. At the studios, several types of sensors are in use, including magnetic contacts for the entrances, PIR motion detectors, and smoke detectors to protect against fire. The system incorporates an alarm broadband adapter, NextAlarm's patented solution for allowing traditional telephone-based alarm systems to communicate over broadband Internet. Unlike other broadband alarm products, NextAlarm's adapter is compatible with over 90% of existing security systems, and can easily be installed by the end user.

Also present is NextView, the video surveillance solution that incorporates wireless IP cameras, smartphone apps, and a sophisticated event processing platform. Using NextView cameras, consumers can view live video or recorded events on their computer, iPhone, or Android device. Three cameras are currently available for use with NextView, including a fixed lens camera and a pan-tilt model that can be repositioned using a secure web account smartphone app. The recently released NextView Outdoor rounds out the offering with a ruggedized outdoor casing and night vision lens. All three cameras utilize NextView's unique buffering technology to integrate with any alarm system and record video when an alarm occurs, starting seconds before the event and ending five minutes later.
