Nexterra Announces US Expansion: Appoints New Regional Leadership and Opens Offices in Philadelphia and Atlanta

VANCOUVER, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ - Nexterra Systems Corp. (www.nexterra.ca), an award-winning supplier of biomass heat and power systems, announced today that it is expanding operations into the United States, appointing a new sales leadership team and opening offices in Philadelphia and Atlanta. These steps are being taken as part of a company-wide expansion to support growing demand for Nexterra's biomass gasification heat and power solutions in North America.

The new sales leadership team will be led by three Regional Vice Presidents of Sales at Nexterra:

• Scott Layne, Regional VP Sales, US North Region. Scott is an accomplished leader in the energy industry with more than twenty-five years of experience. Prior to joining Nexterra, Scott held management positions at Siemens Industry, Inc., Building Technologies Division where as Zone Leader he developed and implemented large scale projects in renewable energy, performance contracting and smart grid technologies. Scott will lead Nexterra's sales team in the US North Region and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
• Larry Bridger, Regional VP Sales, US South Region. Larry has over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing of energy products and service solutions in the utility, industrial and institutional markets. Prior to joining Nexterra, Larry held positions of Regional Business Development Manager of Services for ABB, and Sales and Marketing Manager for Siemens Industrial Services. Larry will lead Nexterra's sales team in the US South Region and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
• Carl Dunaway, Regional VP Sales, US West and Canada Region. Carl has an extensive sales and marketing background in the industrial power generation and cogeneration industry with companies that include Finning and Amerada Hess. Carl has been with Nexterra since 2007 where he has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Director of Sales. Carl will lead Nexterra's sales team in the US West and Canada and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Phil Beaty, P.Eng., a co-founder of Nexterra, will continue to play an important role as VP Sales Engineering where he will provide technical and engineering support to the regional sales teams.
