NEXX Systems Named One of 138 Massachusetts Companies to Receive Workforce Training Fund Grant

BILLERICA, Mass., Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NEXX Systems, a leading provider of processing equipment for advanced wafer-level packaging applications, has been awarded a $42,765 Workforce Training Fund grant from the state of Massachusetts.  The grant will provide training and professional development for more than 100 employees at NEXX Systems headquarters. 

NEXX will focus trainings on key areas like leadership and continuous process improvement.  The leadership training will encourage both new and experienced employees to enhance their skills, improve individual performance and increase overall productivity. Continuous process improvement training will be geared towards consistent enhancement strategies and system wide improvements to fine tune manufacturing practices in areas such as 6 Sigma, lean manufacturing and the Five S's.  As a U.S. manufacturer, NEXX prides itself in offering high performance tools that provide excellent process performance and unique development capabilities to some of the leading chipmakers in Asia and around the world.
