NFL legends partner with Fanright Fantasy Exchange to transform fantasy landscape
The revolutionary concept intends to raise awareness of veterans' health issues by enabling direct access to all-time greats through an enhanced fantasy platform
GREEN BAY, Wis., Aug. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A group of Packer legends including Dorsey Levens, Ahman Green, Nick Collins, and Gilbert Brown has teamed up with Fanright Fantasy Exchange (FFE), LLC to participate in a new fantasy football platform that's uniquely catered to their former team's fan base. The concept is designed to bring attention to veterans' health issues by providing fans with the most immersive fantasy experience available.
"Fantasy Exchange is changing the way we play Fantasy Football. Our model allows fans to directly interact with the legends of the NFL, gaining insights into player selection on a real-time basis," said Fantasy Exchange's co-founder Justin Edmiston. "We're solving the classic fan dilemma of having to choose between competing allegiances to fantasy rosters and favorite teams by putting both in one place. Nowhere else will fans have the opportunity to test their skills against former pros and earn the chance to win incredible prizes like attending a game in a suite with past greats at their side."
The first installment of the exchange will consist of 12 ex-Packer commissioners each of whom will play with 200 fans in a max score competition. Fans will play an equal number of offensive and defensive players with no set rosters. The exchange's only stipulations are that fans can't play any players who oppose their favorite team and that they must play a set number of players from their favorite team each week.
Fans can enroll into the exchange by submitting an entry bid starting September 20th. All first year profits and a significant portion of future proceeds will be donated to organizations that support wounded warriors and assist transitioning veterans.
League slots will be allocated and commissioners assigned based on bid size and personal preferences. Fans who enroll will receive autographed memorabilia and compete for premier prizes like luxury suite tickets and end of year banquet passes. Direct access to the site's legends through video blogs, in-game analysis, and hosted events will be the differentiating factor of the Fantasy Exchange. Fans who elect not to pay can still peruse the site, consume content, and stay abreast of the latest fantasy news.
Fans interested in signing up to compete with the greats can visit www.fantasyexchange.com to learn more. The season starts on September 28th and preregistration is under way.
