NFL Players are Stepping Up to the Plate to Raise $50,000 for Wounded Warrior Amputee Charities on June 1st in Washington DC
WASHINGTON, May 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- NFL Celebrity Players are challenging the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) to a game to showcase how technology is making prosthetic limbs better and is improving the quality of life for limb loss veterans and to raise money for Wounded Warrior Organizations.

NFL Players Attending: Desean Jackson, Josh Morgan, Torrey Smith, Fred Davis, Darrell Young, Tavon Wilson, EJ Biggers, Chris Wilson, Terrence Austin and others are trying to raise $50,000 with the help of the community and Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics to benefit Wounded Warrior organizations.

Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics is the exclusive provider of lower limb prosthetics at Walter Reed Medical Center to wounded soldiers coming back from Afghanistan and the Middle East. Known for the fit and function they provide to their patients they make it possible for athletes like those on the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team to compete.
