The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' event honors and pays tribute to the Champion children – a program recognizing one child selected from each U.S. state and Canadian province – who are facing their illness or injury with courage. They range in ages from three to 17 and have sustained a range of medical challenges including vital organ transplants, rare genetic diseases, cancer and several traumatic injuries.
