Nick Graham Announces Expansion Plans
Joe Boxer founder expanding operations and licensing in the North American and Global markets for New Collection
NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nick Graham announced today that after only 9 months of development, his eponymous company is poised to become what he envisioned: a global lifestyle brand.
Graham categorizes his collection as "Post-Prep", taking men to the next level of modern fashion. "The Men's market has been in an exciting growth mode, but I still see a big opportunity for someone to capture what I call this Post-Prep consumer. Men are evolutionary in their style, not revolutionary. If you look at the main floor Men's area in the US, there really hasn't been a new designer in many years. Plus the demand for American Menswear brands in the international markets is very strong."
Graham is preparing to launch in Macy's on October 14th. The kickoff will include a marching band, color guards, cheerleaders, and a parade of identical twins, all dressed in the company's current products: men's shirts and ties. Known for his out-of-the-box marketing as CEO and founder of Joe Boxer, Graham hinted that later in the fall his campaign would involve helicopters, 80' bow ties, and the Statue of Liberty.
Nick Graham is sold through upscale department and specialty stores starting this fall, and online at nickgraham.com. Graham stated, "When I designed the Nick Graham label, I added 'New York, London, Everywhere'. I knew I wanted the brand to be in all those places at once, and now we will be."
Graham added that Iconix Brand Group has acquired an interest in "NGX", which owns the trademarks for the Nick Graham brand. NGX has aggressive plans to license a wide variety of apparel and accessories both domestically and internationally. The deal reunites Iconix, which purchased Joe Boxer in 2005, with Graham.
