NII Holdings Teams With Motorola for Intelligent Optimization Service to Increase Network Efficiency

(NYSE: MOT) by selecting its Intelligent Optimization Service (IOS) to enhance network efficiency for the Nextel iDEN® networks in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. These agreements between Motorola Argentina S.A. and Nextel Argentina; Motorola Industrial Ltda. and Nextel Brazil; and Motorola de Mexico, S.A. and Nextel Mexico cover service to more than seven million users across the three countries.

Motorola's optimization services help ensure NII's networks operate at maximum performance by minimizing interference among sites, reducing dropped calls and increasing network availability.  Leveraging market-leading analytical techniques and information compiled from millions of calls made over the network, Motorola IOS is able to incorporate a wealth of live market data to optimize the end user experience.  The optimization services are deployed by Motorola professional services experts who have a deep understanding of mobile network demands and operational characteristics.
