As organizations contend with remote workforces, increasingly sophisticated identity fraud and AI-enabled fabrication, verifying that a person is who they claim to be has become a more complex security challenge. A legitimate document or matching database record can establish that information exists, but it does not necessarily establish that the person behind that information is consistent, traceable and real.

Identity Integrity is designed to address that gap. The client-led, on-demand capability cross-references information an organization already has about an individual against multiple, independent sources, including official public records, breach data, investigation databases and digital footprint information. In minutes, it produces an Identity Integrity Report that identifies inconsistencies, gaps, and other signals that may warrant additional scrutiny.

Traditional identity verification can confirm that an identification document is legitimate or that information matches an available record. Identity Integrity takes a different approach by looking for corroboration across independent sources.

The module can use information such as a person's name, email address, phone number, address, resume and professional profiles to identify whether their identity and history hold together across the available evidence. A lack of expected information can itself be a signal; for example, an experienced professional whose identity leaves little or no historical digital footprint may warrant further investigation.

Identity Integrity is designed to complement — not replace — existing identity verification and background-check processes. It provides risk signals and the evidence behind those signals rather than making decisions on an organization's behalf.

Identity Assurance Across the Workforce Lifecycle
Identity Integrity is available exclusively through the Ascend platform and is designed for use across multiple points in the employee lifecycle, including:

• Pre-Hire Review: Corroborate a candidate's identity and provide information earlier in the hiring process, helping teams identify potential synthetic identities, employment discrepancies and other indicators that warrant closer review.

• Employee Investigations: Provide a rapid identity-focused assessment when insider-threat monitoring, HR concerns or other circumstances raise questions about an existing employee's identity or credentials.

• Identity Assurance at Scale: Following a security event or discovery, such as a suspected nation-state-linked infiltration, assess sensitive populations or broader workforces to identify individuals whose information contains inconsistencies or signals requiring further investigation.

Identity Integrity reports provide an overall discrepancy score, along with detail on the specific signals and underlying evidence supporting the assessment. Organizations can use those findings to determine whether to proceed, investigate further, or escalate to a deeper analyst-led investigation. Identity Integrity is also API-enabled to support integration with applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and security workflows.

When more extensive investigation is warranted, organizations can use Identity Integrity findings to support their own internal review or escalate to Nisos' analyst-led Employment Shield investigations.
