WASHINGTON, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As members of the Egyptian-American community we want to emphasize our full support for the Egyptian government, its military, police and judicial system. We stand beside them in their fight against the terrorists who are trying to destroy Egypt through violence and fear.
We ask all parties to follow the law to the letter and renounce all violence and the spilling of precious, innocent Egyptian blood. We ask that the Egyptian government and all parties work together immediately to achieve the goals of the January 25, 2013 Revolution: freedom, justice, and equal rights for all, and dignity for all Egyptians.
We emphasize the importance of creating an Egyptian constitution that respects Egypt's long and rich history while guiding Egypt into its rightful place in the world, and in the 21st century.
We ask our American government to stand and support our Egyptian government in fighting terrorists on a national and international level.
The Egyptian American community will hold a demonstration in front of the White House on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – to 2:00 p.m. to show support for the Egyptian government.
