Nomadix Launches Low-cost and High-speed Internet Gateway Devices For All Enterprises at HITEC
ORLANDO, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Nomadix, Inc. (www.nomadix.com), the leading provider of network gateway devices, today announced its latest range of Internet solutions for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and multi-national corporations (MNCs), the AG2300 and AG5600, at the world's largest hospitality trade event, the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference (HITEC).
From the smallest single cell HotSpot to a large multi-cell location supporting thousands of users, the new solutions, AG2300 and AG5600, offer cost-efficient, customizable and scalable internet gateway options that fit the needs of each unique Wi-Fi public access deployment.
"There is an ever greater demand for wireless access and higher bandwidth throughput due to an increase in the number of smart wireless devices. As the leader in public Internet access gateways, Nomadix's two new products will provide customers with similar higher-end features at a competitive price point on the low end, addressing the ever increasing need for greater throughput on the high end for rich content and a satisfying user experience," said Fred Reeder, managing director of Nomadix.
AG2300
Targeted at small venues such as restaurants, lobbies, gas stations, and small to medium enterprises, the AG2300 offers a cost-efficient, easy-to-install approach while addressing the broader market needs for an access gateway. It is powered by the Nomadix Service Engine™ (NSE) Core software and supports up to 50 simultaneous users. The AG2300 addresses the need in the small business segment for more robust and reliable products that pack in high-end functionality like the High Availability Module that offers failover capabilities.
AG5600
More suitable for larger-scale implementation at venues like hotels, airports, stadiums, and convention centers, the AG5600 meets the industry demand for Gigabit Ethernet support and offers large enterprises an enhanced hardware platform for faster throughput, as well as compatibility with higher ISP connection speeds. The AG5600 also addresses bandwidth demands with an increased throughput of up to 750Mbps.
"Nomadix has always stayed at the forefront of network gateway technology. Since it was founded, more than 100 U.S. and foreign patents have been created for foundational inventions in mobile computing and network access," said Charles Reed, CEO of DOCOMO interTouch Pte. Ltd., which acquired Nomadix in January 2008. "The introduction of this latest range of products is a testament to the company's deep understanding of the various market segments."
