Non-Profit Future Boston Alliance & KarmaloopTV Release the All Boston Artists Mixtape: "Glory" hosted by Grammy Nominated DJ Clinton Sparks & Mixed by up and coming DJ BREK ONE!

BOSTON, July 2, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for those hot summer nights DJ BREK.ONE & Clinton Sparks have released their brand new mixtape "Glory" curated by Karmaloop CEO Greg Selkoe and featuring music from 34 Boston artists effortlessly blended together in one continues bumping mega-mix!  Glory (which gets its name from the famous Boston movie about the Massachusetts 54th the first black army regiment) has been an on-going project of fellow City of Boston natives DJ BREK.ONE (Roxbury), Clinton Sparks (Dorchester) and Greg Selkoe (Jamaica Plain) for several years.  The finally completed mix features 39 tracks ranging from classic rock to house and hip-hop to R&B. The big prize is the World Premiere of Sparks' latest single "Watch You" featuring Benny Benassi and Pitbull. 

Glory begins with a mash up of few classic Boston rally songs then rolls it the ominous warning about a "T" fair increase (Boston Subway system) from the prelude of 1960's folk group The Kingston Trio's huge hit "Charlie on the MTA," and right into one of the most popular tracks of the 2012, Tyga's "Rack City," produced by Bostonian Turbz Music. The full mix launches into Bad Rabbits unreleased track "How High" and it is all up tempo-Boston madness from there on out!  Other groups that are featured on Glory include: Passion Pit, Statik Selektah, The Bladerunners, Donna Summer, Guru, Ed OG, J. Geils Band, Cars, Bodega Girls, Statik Selektah, BBD, Boston, Pixies, Armand Van Helden and Karmin. There are drops by DJ A-Trak and South Boston's own Sully. 

On Glory the New Kids on the Block platinum hit "Step By Step" begins with an interview clip from a 1989 episode of Boston television show "People are Talking" hosted by local Tom Bergeron, also known as the current host of America's Funniest Home Videos and Dancing with the Stars. Glory closes strong with the Dropkick Murphys' Hub anthem "I'm Shipping Up to Boston,"

DJ BREK.ONE. had this to say about the mix "This has been one of the most challenging mix projects that I have put together,"  he added "I always aim to produce something timeless so that when someone listens to the mix - whether it is tomorrow or two years from now - it still bangs."  He went on "This mix was also designed to educate and inform the listener," BREK.ONE continued.
