NAAN is a collaboration of nonprofit organizations that partner with businesses of all sizes to enhance communities. It is just one of many nonprofits that will be attending B4B, which brings businesses and nonprofits together to create more vibrant communities and better business results.
Day said attending B4B is crucial for any nonprofit organization who is struggling to find the right corporate partner, or for those just looking to expand their influence.
"B4B is a great platform for bringing companies and nonprofits together in the ways that work best for each of them," Day explained. "The roundtable will allow key decision-makers to brainstorm unique and innovative ideas that everyone who attends can implement in their day-to-day partnerships."
Day also emphasized that consumers are becoming increasingly aware of corporate responsibility and good citizenship by the brands they use the most. According to the 2012 Cone Communications Corporate Social Return Trend Tracker, 84 percent of Americans hold companies accountable for producing and communicating the results of CSR commitments by going beyond the mission to robustly communicate progress against well-defined purpose.
- 49% consider whether a corporation has partnered with a nonprofit when making a purchase
- 63% say they don't know where to find information about a company's CSR efforts and results
- 55% don't understand the impact they are having when buying a product from a company that says it is socially responsible
"Many corporation heads don't fully understand how beneficial a nonprofit partnership can be toward their societal influence," Day said. "Hopefully, businesses who attend B4B will make connections and forge long-standing relationships with some of the nation's more prestigious and active nonprofits."
"B4B will help both corporations and nonprofits strategize and publicize their partnership efforts moving forward," said Day.
