Nonprofit Organization For Cancer Survivors Called 'Be Your Own CURE' Set for Their First Fundraiser
Be Your Own CURE is a new nonprofit organization founded by two young adult lifelong friends turned cancer survivors which caters to cancer patients, will hold its first fundraising event on July 9th at Sender One Climbing Gym in Santa Ana, CA. Be Your Own CURE aims to raise awareness, inspire and motivate people to look into more natural, integrative and holistic ways to treat and prevent cancer as well as granting monies to help fund further research in natural and holistic treatment options.
ORANGE, Calif., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Be Your Own CURE, is set to have its first fundraiser on July 9th. The organization aims to bridge the gap between Western Medicine therapies and more natural, and holistic treatments options that a patient might not be informed about through the standard channels. Fresh into his new career at an engineering firm, the founder, Ryan Coffelt was diagnosed with the most severe form of brain cancer, a Grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme or GBM4 at the young age of 27. With no cure, no real treatment options and an average survival time of around 16-18 months, Ryan decided to set out and find the answers he was not given and realized there was so much more that he was never told by his doctors.
"I was not told about anything outside of Western Medicine through my entire introductory journey, but I don't hold it against the doctors. Maybe they truly do not know or maybe they cannot talk about the stuff we explore and utilize. We don't discount Western Medicine, we just want everyone to know what all of their options are, not just the ones your doctor decides you should know about," Ryan Coffelt.
Along with Ryan, his partner in the foundation David was also diagnosed with cancer less than 3 months after Ryan, both under the age of 30. They both took on their cancers utilizing the many and varied treatments, supplements and therapies which the foundation is based upon. The foundation is also supported by NFL all pros Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers and Matthew Slater of the New England Patriots. They too have been life long friends and avidly extend their support to the noble cause.

Be Your Own CURE hopes to inspire people to look into natural, holistic and integrative forms of cancer treatment and prevention.
