
NORC Names Daniel Kasprzyk Director of the Center For Excellence in Survey Research and Quality
CHICAGO, July 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- National Opinion Research Center (NORC) today announced the appointment of Daniel Kasprzyk as Director of its Center for Excellence in Survey Research and Quality.

With more than 35 years of experience, Kasprzyk will lead and set priorities for the Center, which develops groundbreaking survey research methodologies and ensures the statistical integrity of all NORC studies. He will also expand the in-house statistical capabilities and expert research staff across the organization.

Prior to his position with NORC, Kasprzyk led statistical staff and survey operations as the Vice President and Director of Surveys and Statistics at Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. In this role, he also oversaw discreet projects, such as the Analytic and Methodological Studies Based on Statistics of Income Databases and Procedures and the National Household Education Survey Quality Profile.
Kasprzyk joined Mathematica from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) where, during his 10 years as a Program Director, he led research and statistics programs for the Library Studies Division, the Surveys and Cooperative Systems Group, and the Elementary and Secondary Education Statistics Division. He further ran the Schools and Staffing Survey, the Private School Survey, and the National Study of Postsecondary Faculty among others.
Kasprzyk's career also includes serving in research and management posts at the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of Education (ED), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the Social Security Administration (SSA), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the National Security Agency (NSA).
Kasprzyk earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University and his Doctorate degree in Mathematical Statistics from George Washington University. He has published broadly on a variety of subjects including statistical methodology, innovation and survey design, and frequently speaks on these topics to academic institutions and government organizations worldwide.
