Nord Anglia Education Announces Approval to Establish a New Bilingual School in Shanghai

HONG KONG, Sept. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nord Anglia Education, Inc. (NYSE: NORD), the world's leading premium schools organization, today announced that it has received approval to establish a new bilingual school in Shanghai.  The new school will be called Nord Anglia Bilingual School Shanghai and is expected to open in September 2016. 

Nord Anglia Bilingual School Shanghai will cater to children of PRC nationals from age 6 to 18 years.  It will follow the local Chinese curriculum integrated with international elements taught through the medium of mandarin Chinese and English. Throughout the school, Nord Anglia Education will draw on the best of Chinese and Western learning styles and the experience of leading educators to provide a distinctive education program for the students.

Nord Anglia Education is working with a local partner to redevelop an existing site close to one of its existing schools. The campus will have approximately 2,250 seats of capacity and impressive facilities to support the school in offering an outstanding education. 

The opening of the school is subject to receipt of further regulatory approvals and the establishment of the school entity as part of a variable interest entity structure in China.
