(Nasdaq: NTK), a global diversified company with leading brands and innovative, technology-driven products and solutions for residential and commercial applications, today announced that Robert Casagrande, 41, has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Information Officer. In addition to leading Nortek's IT operations, Casagrande will be responsible for developing a long-term IT plan focused on integrating the company's information systems and more efficiently delivering IT services and solutions to each of Nortek's businesses.

Casagrande brings more than 20 years of engineering and IT experience to Nortek. For the past six years he served as vice president and CIO at Rexel Holdings – a position created when the distributor of electric products and services was sold by the General Electric Company. Prior to Rexel, he worked for 14 years in engineering and IT positions at GE. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
