North American Sports Group Introduces The USA Sports Festival Kickoff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Sports Group is proud to announce its newest property, USA Sports Festivals. The first Albuquerque Sportsfest will be held June 8 at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque, NM., and there will be live music, fireworks and food trucks. All soccer athletes participating in Sportsfest will have the opportunity to qualify for the Kick It 3v3 Regional and/or the Disney 3v3 Championships.

The food truck rally on Saturday and Sunday will include: Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Ahhromas Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery, Gauchito Argentina Grill, Bill's Barbecue, Chavez Chile and Torpedo Dogs. Budweiser and Power 106.7 will also be at the Alburquerque Sportsfest, which will feature a slam-dunk contest, free-throw contest and three-point contest.

Rob Thompson, Managing Partner for NASG is excited for the success he sees with Sportsfest. "NASG has rolled out this blended weekend with small-sided games, BBQ, music because we want to create a festival and tournaments rolled up into one super cool event; this is the next thing on the sports tournament landscape," says Thompson, who was a former executive at The Walt Disney Company. Thompson has led over 300 NFL Flag camps, clinics, special events and flag football tournaments worldwide and is excited to bring the NASG properties to more athletes in North America.

The Albuquerque Sports Festival registration deadline is 11:59pm MDT Monday, June 3, 2013. Participation prices vary based on event and date of registration: Hoop It Up is Youth: $100, High School Youth: $150, Adults: $175, Top Gun: $200 (USA Basketball qualifier, only 4 players per team); Let It Fly is $180 for all ages; Kick It is $190. There are no coolers allowed at Fiesta Park Grounds and parking is $5 a day.
