Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. Opens Denver Office and Hires Executive Vice President of Land

WAYZATA, Minn., Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. (NYSE MKT: NOG) ("Northern") announced today that it has opened a regional office in Denver, Colorado and has hired Darrell Finneman as Executive Vice President of Land.  In this role, Mr. Finneman will focus on land acquisitions and divestitures as well as strategic transactions in areas of mutual interest with Williston Basin operators.

Mr. Finneman comes to Northern with over 33 years of land acquisition experience. Since 2003, Mr. Finneman has been employed at Fidelity Exploration & Production Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc., as Regional Land Manager. Most recently, Mr. Finneman was responsible for business development and growth initiatives involving multiple Land teams that were focused on acquiring and assembling strategic oil and gas lease blocks. Prior to Fidelity, Mr. Finneman spent 18 years with Amoco Production Company.  Mr. Finneman is a Certified Professional Landman with the American Association of Professional Landmen and holds a master's degree from the University of Colorado.
