BUTTE, Mont., Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (NYSE: NWE) announced today that it has priced a public offering of 6,766,990 shares of its common stock at $51.50 per share. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 1,000,000 additional shares of the Company's common stock. The offering is expected to close on or about November 10, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, together with the net proceeds of an anticipated long-term debt offering and borrowing under our short term credit facility, as the financing for the pending acquisition of eleven hydro plants in Montana.
