SARASOTA, Fla., May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Let's get one thing straight right now: This is not fake news. Not For Everyone, Inc. has come up with a game that's gonna be yuge. Bigly. Probably the biggest table game ever. But since Mexico refuses to pay for it, the game's creators are turning to Kickstarter to launch Over the Wall, the new board game that doubles as a drinking game (Over the Limit) and challenges players to flick their Amigos over the wall and onto a Safe Zone or risk having them flicked back over.
By day, Over the Wall is a fast-paced, competitive game consisting of 34 Amigos; eight Safe Zones including The American Dream, Taco Truck, Sanctuary City, Green Card, and the Makin' Bacon wagon; two Trump cards; and one really big wall. Players take sides, divide the Amigos evenly (in the event of an uneven number of Amigos, the player with the craziest hair gets the extra piece), and lay out their Safe Zones and Trump cards without showing each other. The person with the best Spanish sets the timer for one minute, and then teams take turns flicking--not throwing--the Amigos over the wall and, hopefully, onto Safe Zones of varying point values. Amigos who land outside Safe Zones can be flicked back over the wall. The team or player with the most points after three one-minute rounds wins the game.
By night, Over the Wall takes a turn for the deplorable and becomes Over the Limit, a drinking game where the Safe Zones are flipped over to become Drinking Zones. When flicked pieces land on them, players must follow instructions like "Everyone Else Must Put 1 Finger to their Ear Like Secret Service When They Speak," "Everyone Else Must Say Make America Great Again at the End of Every Sentence," and, of course, "Make Someone Drink." Like any good drinking game, everyone wins.
"As with any political parody, a sense of humor is required to appreciate Over the Wall and Over the Limit," said C. Thomas Conner, co-founder of Not For Everyone, Inc. and co-creator of the game. "We think people who appreciate satire--or who just love drinking games--will enjoy playing Over the Wall and Over the Limit regardless of their political persuasion."
The Over the Wall and Over the Limit Kickstarter campaign runs through May 31, 2017. Conner and his team hope to raise $7,500 to put the game into mass production. Supporters pledging $10 or more will receive at least one complete Over the Wall game; the higher the pledge, the more game sets and other perks a supporter will receive. Prototypes are available to members of the media who would like to review Over the Wall and Over the Limit.
