NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- RiskX Investments proudly announces its exclusive U.S. partnership with Deborah Frame and Frame Global Asset Management, Ltd. ("Frame Global") to sub-advise the RiskX MAR Strategies. With the move, the firm returns an original portfolio manager, now with Frame Global, an independent investment manager, to its strategies focused on downside risk management.

Ms. Frame was selected for her expertise in capital markets and risk-aware investing, as well for her firm's appeal to independent advisors at a time when markets and structures are evolving and volatility is re-emerging. Ms. Frame, previously the second most senior investment professional at Cougar Global Investments, was one of the original Portfolio Managers of the MAR strategies offered by RiskX Investments. She departed Cougar Global Investments subsequent to its sale. Ms. Frame and several of her former investment colleagues have formed Frame Global as an independent firm to manage tactical Exchange-Traded Funds ("ETFs") portfolios. Catherine Dorna and Drew Millard joined Frame Global – having previously worked together at Cougar Global. Sophia Randhawa, also formerly with Cougar Global has joined Frame Global to support marketing and communication for the firm. While Frame Global reunites several former members of the investment team, it also continues the collaboration of Deborah Frame and Charles McNally, Chief Portfolio Strategist of RiskX Investments. The Frame Global corporate board of directors includes Tom Lydon, Editor and proprietor of Global Trends Investments and ETF Trends, a premier destination for Financial Advisors and investors interested in ETFs. Mr. Lydon is also a member of the board of Guggenheim Funds and the PIMCO Advisory Board.
"Deborah Frame is a talented and innovative investor who rose to prominence over the last three decades, becoming a pivotal voice in the exchange-traded fund and strategist community. We see her as a manager of the future," said John Pileggi, CEO of RiskX Investments. "Her investment pedigree and extensive work in constructing downside risk-aware portfolios were integral to the launch of the MAR Portfolios. RiskX is delighted to be the exclusive U.S. partner of Frame Global."
The Portfolios seek to achieve their investment objectives by allocating assets to a mix of equities, fixed income securities, cash and commodities. They invest in ETFs whose underlying investments trade in U.S. and international (developed and emerging) markets, but are listed on U.S. exchanges. The managers use a Macroeconomic Assessment of Risk (MAR) analysis to forecast the macroeconomic environment over a one-year time horizon, as well as statistical models to determine the impact the macroeconomic environment may have on the risk/return profile and correlations of multiple asset classes.
The MAR strategies will be employed to ensure continuity with objectives and risk parameters. But the sub-advisor change is intended to also bring some improvements to the investment process, with minor refinements to address recent market changes such as outlook adjustments made for equity markets in regions with active quantitative easing programs.
"I'll be playing a critical role in ensuring continuity with the Portfolios, preserving the downside risk-aware philosophy that has delivered value for advisors and their clients," said Ms. Frame. "I know that RiskX Investments is passionately committed to partnering with premier managers as sub-advisors for mutual funds and separately managed accounts. I'm ready to start building momentum to help the firm expand its expertise, widen its spectrum of products, and broaden access for advisors."
The partnership with Frame Global allows RiskX Investments to continue to deliver these unique solutions while maintaining key elements of its investment manager selection and oversight process: choosing independent partners focused specifically on asset management.
