Nottingham's Independent Confectionery Store the Treat Kitchen Launches Online Store Selling Over Three Hundred Varieties of Sweets and Chocolates

Having already delighted sweet toothed shoppers with their Nottingham city centre store Treat Kitchen owners Martin and Jess Barnett have now launched an online store http://www.thetreatkitchen.co.uk .

The online store will allow shoppers throughout the UK to enjoy The Treat Kitchen's fantastic range of confectionery including their locally made rock and sugar free boiled sweets. Customers will also find all their traditional sweet shop favourites such as rhubarb and custard, aniseed balls and thirty six varieties of gourmet jelly bean.

The Treat Kitchen prides itself on its individual packaging, the sweets are sold in glass milk bottles and jars for £3.95 or clear resealable pouches for £1.95. Treat Kitchen owner, Mr Martin Barnett, said today: "At the Treat Kitchen the sweets are the hero. We don't want our packaging to distract from the beautiful colours of our confectionery. There are also great upcycling opportunities for the glassware once customers have enjoyed their sweets. So many visitors to Nottingham have been asking us to go online so they can purchase our sweets from their home towns. Jess and I are so excited to launch the ecommerce site just in time to showcase our Christmas range."

Martin and Jess opened the Treat Kitchen in September 2014 after deciding to utilise Martin's retail experience and their family background in confectionery. The Barnett family have been making sweets in Nottingham since the 1890's. Keen to promote Nottingham's confectionery heritage The Treat Kitchen stock a range of sugar free sweets from the Barnett factory. The shop also sells handcrafted rock which is made by another family member, Michael Barnett at his factory in Huthwaite Nottinghamshire. The locally made produce is supported by other carefully selected ranges and also over twenty different flavours of fudge that are made in store. Now all these treats can be delivered to customers throughout the UK by visiting the new online shop.
