World-renowned Scientist to Accelerate Innovations in Smart Health Furniture
LOS ANGELES, June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nova LifeStyle, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVFY), a U.S.-based fast-growing, innovative designer, manufacturer and distributor of modern LifeStyle furniture, announced today that Marvin Liu, M.D. has been appointed Director of the Smart Health Furniture Division, effective June 16, 2015.
Dr. Liu brings over 17 years of experience to Nova LifeStyle and has an extensive track record in the Research and Development of pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic products in the U.S.A. and China. He has over 45 patents or patent applications and has been the recipient of awards including the National Distinguished Expert Award, Beijing, China, 2010 and the National Science Honor Roll, Beijing, China, 2015.

Dr. Liu has served as Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Pharmacology, Dartmouth Medical School Hanover, NH, 1995-1997, Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Pharmacology, Creighton University School of Medicine, Omaha, NE, 1992-1995, Sr Research Staff, Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cambridge, MA, 1997-1999, President at Beijing Coreway Sci-Tech Co. Ltd, Beijing, China since 2006 and Chief Scientific Officer at the National Key Lab of Southern West Pharmaceutical Resources in Nanning, China since 2012. Prior to these appointments, Dr. Liu was the CEO at Beijing Yili Biotech Institute in Beijing from 2000 – 2005.
Dr. Liu has an M.D. in Cardiology from Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China and an M.S. in Pharmacology at Baotou Medical College, China.
