Research Focuses on Solutions in Poultry Feeding Using Alternative Ingredients in Diets, and Supplementing Trace Minerals

Novus's oral presentation schedule kicks-off on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:45 a.m. with Dr. Frances Yan, Manager for Poultry Nutrition at Novus leading a discussion entitled, Comparison of DL-selenomethionine with other sources of selenium on performance, glutathione peroxidase activity and tissue selenium concentration in young broilers.

Novus also will be presenting two technical posters, Impact of feeding broiler chicks the diets containing varied levels of chelated minerals compared to industry levels of inorganic trace minerals on broiler performance, immune response, and litter minerals concentration and Feeding broiler breeder hens with diets containing reduced levels of Zn, Cu, and Mn as chelates compared to industry levels as sulfates/oxides improve hatching rate and progeny quality.
