Now Registered in California! Innovative Trunk Injection Products TREE-age® Insecticide and PHOSPHO-jet Fungicide from Arborjet

WOBURN, Mass., April 25, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- The gold rush of tree care has arrived in California! Today Arborjet (www.arborjet.com), which develops remedies for some of the world's most destructive tree insects and diseases, announced that the company's industry-leading trunk injection products, TREE-age® Insecticide* and PHOSPHO-jet Fungicide, have received registration from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR) and are now labeled for use in the state.

Now arborists, landscapers and city officials in California can use TREE-age to protect their urban forests against invasive pests. TREE-age is applied through the Arborjet injection system in which the formulation is sealed inside the tree. Injecting TREE-age directly into the tree's vascular system not only provides protection quickly, but is also highly effective in controlling insects that feed under the bark. Unlike many other treatments, TREE-age provides up to two years of control for insects like Emerald Ash Borer and Mountain Pine Beetle.  Also, in keeping with Arborjet's commitment to research and development, the effectiveness of TREE-age to control these insects is well supported by several years of independent research. 

A partial list of the insect species covered by the California registration for TREE-age includes: Flat-headed Borers, Western Spruce Budworm, Western Pine Beetle, Pinewood Nematode, Pine Coneworm, Pine Cone Seed Bug, Tent Caterpillars, Bagworm, Fall Webworm, Mimosa Webworm, and Oak Worm.

PHOSPHO-jet, a systemic fungicide, is also now labeled for use in California and helps suppress various plant diseases like Sudden Oak Death, anthracnose, Phytophthora, black spot, scab, fire blight in apple, root rot in avocado and citrus, canker blight and many others. PHOSPHO-jet inhibits fungal cells while eliciting a plant health response from the tree.

PHOSPHO-jet promotes stronger, healthier tree cells, root development, and triggers the tree's natural defense mechanisms to make it more resistant to infection and better able to recover.
