NOWNESS.com Celebrates Launch of Ari Seth Cohen's Debut Book: Advanced Style

NEW YORK, May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NOWNESS.com, the digital leader in luxury storytelling, is pleased to host an event in association with powerHouse Books to celebrate the launch of fashion photographer and blogger Ari Seth Cohen's debut book, Advanced Style.

NOWNESS.com premiered Cohen's first Advanced Style short film in March 2011. A favorite among NOWNESS.com readers and fashion media, the film brings to life the women from the Advanced Style blog as they talk about their fashion inspiration and share style advice. Cohen has gained international recognition for his Advanced Style blog, which documents the personal style and confidence of New York's older ladies and gentlemen.

In addition, on May 22, NOWNESS.com premieres a new short conceived in collaboration with Cohen. The film, shot by Daniel Riera, profiles Wanny Antonio Di Filippo, a Florentine artisan who is as well known for designing beautiful leather products for his label Il Bisonte as he is for his colorful style.

The book launch event, which takes place on May 22 from 6:30-9:30PM at New York's New Museum, will include a book signing and a preview of Cohen's Advanced Style documentary, which will be released in 2013. Many of the Advanced Style ladies Cohen features will be present to sign books and have their photos taken with attendees of the event. NOWNESS.com is thrilled to be partnering again with Cohen, an innovative fashion thought leader, for the launch of his new book.
