Rapid expansion into enterprise segment: Since its Series B financing in 2016, the company has landed key enterprise customer wins including The Guardian and Weight Watchers. Enterprise demand for NS1's software and services has accelerated as a result of critical enterprise technology initiatives for digital transformation, operational efficiency, DDoS resiliency and datacenter automation.
Accelerated investment in software and services: NS1's platform technologies, with data driven real-time global traffic management and deep API automation capabilities, will continue to expand as the company increases investment in its world-class engineering team and global network infrastructure. Kanwar Gill, senior director of DevOps at Weight Watchers, said: "At Weight Watchers, we trust NS1 to deliver mission critical DNS and traffic management for our key domains. Like most tech companies, we're focused on rock solid, high performance, operationally efficient application delivery, and to provide the best service to our users, we have built a delivery stack that's modern, automated and resilient. NS1 is a critical part of that stack: they are pushing the boundaries of DNS technology, and we've been blown away by the quality of service we've received from the NS1 platform and team. As a customer, we're thrilled for this new funding round and excited to see NS1 continue to invest in their software and platform."
Kris Beevers, NS1's cofounder and CEO, said: "With the shifting DDoS threat environment and copious M&A activity, the DNS and traffic management market has seen rapid change since we raised our Series B round late last year. Today, NS1 is the only major provider focused solely on the delivery of mission critical DNS and traffic management software and services to internet and enterprise companies. We are just getting started: DNS has long been an underappreciated opportunity to take granular control over internet traffic, and it's the entry point to every online application. By unlocking the potential of DNS with our unique software and delivery platforms, NS1 will continue to solidify its position as the clear market leader in DNS. We're excited to continue our mission to build a smarter internet and become a foundational internet player in the coming years."
