Financial aid industry experts provide specialized support solutions to schools.
LINCOLN, Neb., Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NSLP announces the expansion of its Business Development Team with the addition of three new members. Linney Akins, Brian Clanton and Craig Poleman will serve as strategic business directors in designated regions.
According to NSLP President and CEO Randy Heesacker, "It is exciting to add more great talent to our team, especially three individuals with a broad range of demonstrated success. Each one has experience in the areas of financial aid and customer relations. They will provide the leadership we need to guide and support our clients in higher education, and to help improve the success of higher education funding programs."
Before joining NSLP, Akins was an independent financial aid consultant in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, he has worked at JP Morgan Chase Education Finance and at Sallie Mae as the vice president of sales and as a higher education account executive. As a former financial aid director he has gained a comprehensive knowledge of Title IV programs and automated financial aid management systems. Akins will serve schools in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions.
For the past four years, Clanton has served as the director of operations for Dell Insurance Services in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prior to that, he spent 10 years leading a team of 60 employees at State Farm Insurance. He will serve schools in Nebraska and the Rocky Mountain regions.
Poleman has extensive experience in sales, customer relations and operations administration. Before joining NSLP, he was a vice president and senior branch manager for Capital One Bank in Louisiana. Prior to that, he worked with Sallie Mae, Educaid and Wachovia/Wells Fargo education finance divisions. Poleman has several years of financial aid administration experience that will be beneficial to the schools he serves in the Southwestern regions.
