CALABASAS, Calif., Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- National Technical Systems, Inc. ("NTS"), the leading independent provider of environmental simulation testing, inspection, and certification solutions in the United States, announced today that it has hired Vicki Panhuise as President of Testing.  The addition of Dr. Panhuise will add considerable industry and operational expertise to NTS' senior leadership team and positions the company to further enhance its technological and service offerings and capitalize on the growth opportunities it is currently pursuing in partnership with customers.

As the President of Testing, Dr. Panhuise will be a key member of CEO William McGinnis' executive team and will have responsibility for a broad range of key initiatives, including furthering the company's operational capabilities, driving the company's growth strategy, and fostering a common culture of superior customer service and thought leadership across NTS' national network of technologically advanced testing laboratories.

After leaving Honeywell, Dr. Panhuise served as the President of Airborne Systems Group, the world's largest manufacturer of high-performance personnel and cargo parachutes, which she led through the sale of the business to TransDigm Group in December 2013.  As a Six Sigma Leadership Black Belt, she has also advised aerospace and defense companies on change management, acquisition integration, and program management best practices.  Dr. Panhuise earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Wells College, both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and an MBA from the University of Arizona.  She is a member, and the former President and Chairman of the Board, of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing.

"As a member of industry, I had a great appreciation for the unique technological and service capabilities that NTS's national network of laboratories offers its sophisticated customer base.  I am excited to join NTS at such a dynamic time for the company, and I look forward to working with our talented team to serve as a partner to the more than 4,000 customers who rely on NTS for their most technologically advanced and mission-critical testing needs," Panhuise said.

"The addition of Vicki to our executive team comes at the ideal time for our organization as we accelerate the way we can serve our customers," McGinnis said.
