NTTC Announces Omnitracs, LLC as Exclusive Sponsor for C-Level Panel Series at its 2014 and 2015 Events
Technology, Compliance, and Driver Recruitment and Retention to be Discussed in New Panel Series Featuring Leading Fleet Executives
ARLINGTON, Va., April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) today announced that it has entered into an exclusive sponsorship agreement with Omnitracs, LLC, a leading provider of fleet management solutions to transportation and logistics companies, to develop a C-level panel discussion series at its annual events including the Annual Conference & Exhibits Show, the Annual Safety Meeting, the Summer Membership & Board of Directors Meeting, the Winter Membership & Board of Directors Meeting, and the seminar portion of Tank Truck Week. With this agreement, both the NTTC and Omnitracs will collaborate to create meaningful panel discussions consisting of domain experts and fleet participants exploring topics and best practices that pertain to the tank truck industry. The series' inaugural panel, "Right Technology, Right Fit for Your Company," will headline the NTTC's 66th Annual Conference & Exhibits held April 27-29 in Las Vegas.
The tank truck industry is a widely diverse segment of the trucking industry and confronts the same challenges that all trucking companies face, in addition to those that are singular to this unique industry. Its equipment is expensive and complex, requiring a specialized skillset from drivers. Given the very nature of hauling hazardous materials, tank truckers are faced with a more rigorous regulatory climate, expensive operating model and complex risk management issues. Omnitracs' sponsorship role will further strengthen the NTTC's efforts in developing insightful educational content designed to help the tank truck community address these business-critical issues.
"Since our founding in 1945, we have successfully represented tank truck interests and always seek to align our organization with like-minded technology providers that help us champion the needs of our members," said NTTC Chairman James Shaeffer. "We are very pleased and grateful to extend our relationship with Omnitracs, a fleet management technology pioneer, to now encompass a formal partnership that will strengthen our educational content and equip our members with practical insights."
"We have worked closely with the NTTC and many of its carrier members in the past, which has contributed to the great foundation in our relationship, and are very much looking forward to furthering our support," said John Graham, CEO of Omnitracs. "The panel series sponsorship underscores Omnitracs' commitment to the NTTC and its members, and we are pleased to be a valuable resource in the educational content development as it helps them navigate issues related to technology, compliance, and driver recruitment and retention."
"Right Technology, Right Fit for Your Company," is the inaugural panel of the Omnitracs-sponsored series, addressing how fleets can best select the fleet management technology system suited to its unique business and operational needs. Scheduled for April 29 at 10:15 a.m. PDT, the panel is part of the NTTC's 66th Annual Conference & Exhibits, April 27-29 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Moderated by NTTC President Daniel Furth, panelists include Chris Lofgren, CEO of Schneider National, Dennis Nash, CEO of The Kenan Advantage Group and Greg Hodgen, president and COO of Groendyke Transport, Inc.
