Nuctech X-Ray Scanners Ready for the Rio Games
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As the Rio Olympic Games is around the corner, Nuctech has prepared more than 200 baggage and cargo X-Ray scanners for security. The equipment is contracted to the local Rio de Janeiro government and will be used to assist with security measures for the Rio Games.
The security is a very sensitive topic and of great concern. The Olympic Committee is dedicated to organizing a grand event while maintaining safe locations. To ensure the safety of the Games, Brazil has started the biggest security plan in its history, in which 850,000 people (policemen, firemen, soldiers) are involved, and this is twice as much security as was used in London.

Currently the X-Ray equipment is arriving in Rio and will be set up, tested and debugged in order to provide top-notch security.
Nuctech has been contracted to provide machines to the local Rio government, which will be utilized in shopping malls, traffic hubs and other locations around Brazil. After the Rio Games, the devices will be used by the Brazil State Bureau of Prisons.
