NurseWise Expands Services to Provide Southern Arizona Enhanced Health Care and More Job Opportunities
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NurseWise, a national multilingual nurse triage and health education provider, has expanded its presence in southern Arizona with the opening of a new Clinical Care Center™ in Tucson, increasing the number of lives it serves and enhancing the services it offers. This expansion provides enhanced whole person care through behavioral health and triage services to residents in all eight counties south of Phoenix and incorporates Pima County into NurseWise's health service area, ensuring 210,000 additional citizens have access to important health care services. With the addition of Pima County, NurseWise now serves more than 1.8 million members of the Arizona community.
Additionally, the expansion creates more than 100 jobs between the new Tucson facility and the already existing Tempe Clinical Care Center. As a provider of behavioral health crisis line intervention, NurseWise's Behavioral Health Professionals, Behavioral Health Technicians and Registered Nurses assist consumers with acute behavioral health and physical health symptoms, 24/7. The NurseWise team also serves as the Mobile Crisis Team Dispatch in communities where local crisis teams are available. NurseWise dispatches teams for in-person evaluation of consumers in behavioral health crisis. The Mobile Crisis Team provides in-home or in-office assessment and support. NurseWise supports this effort by coordinating the delivery of service for multiple communities, tracking the progress toward service delivery, and maintaining contact with the Mobile Crisis Team to ensure their safety needs. As part of the expansion, NurseWise has implemented new technology that greatly improves the Mobile Crisis Team's ability to respond to crisis situations with upgrades to tracking and electronic communication capabilities.
"We are proud to have served Arizona since 1995, and this expansion further improves whole person health and crisis response in the Southern Arizona community," said Kimberly D. Tuck, RN, Chief Executive Officer of NurseWise. "Our new facility helps ensure residents receive the care they need at the moment they need it most and includes 100 percent follow-up on all crisis calls. This is vital to providing valuable resources and necessary support."
NurseWise now serves the majority of Southern Arizona counties including Pima, Yuma, LaPaz, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Cochise, Greenlee and Graham.
Opportunities are available for Registered Nurses and other health care professionals for NurseWise's Tucson location. Because NurseWise is a multilingual nurse advice provider, bilingual applicants are highly encouraged to apply.
NurseWise also provides a Tribal Warm Line, a peer service staffed by tribe members who live and work in their own communities.
