JetStreamHD is a powerful media processing platform that automatically transcodes media content to iPad and other tablets.

Built on the media processing capabilities of ViXS XCode™ engine, JetStreamHD transcodes and streams video, music and photos to the iPad. Consumers can enjoy instant access to all their media on their iPad over any WiFi or 3G connection in their home or anywhere in the world. Adaptive bit-rate streaming hardware ensures a vivid, stutter-free video as JetStreamHD adapts to the dynamic wireless bandwidth provided by the Wi-Fi or 3G connections. The iPad application makes finding and viewing media flow seamlessly.  It organizes TV shows, movies and user generated content, retrieves cover art, plot summaries and includes powerful search, sorting and filtering options.

The XCode 4115 System on a Chip (SoC) used in the JetStreamHD manages the conversion between media formats in real-time at high definition (HD) output video quality.  XCode4115 SOC enables multi-format, multi-stream HD or lower resolution video transcoding. Also integrated with and running on the XCode4115 is the Apple content streaming protocol software called HTTP-Live server or HLS to support Apple iPad devices.
