NY Trial Lawyer Turned Spiritual and Relationship Coach Teaches Forgiveness to Distressed Couples and Individuals
WEEHAWKEN, N.J., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- After a decade of battling adversaries in New York courtrooms as a trial lawyer, David S. Wilde switched to a more ameliorative career. As a relationship, life, and spiritual coach, he now helps couples and individuals practice what he calls the widely misunderstood art of "forgiveness" to improve their marriages and relationships, achieve their life goals, and cultivate peace of mind. David has a blog offering free relationship advice at http://relationshipscoach.wordpress.com.
Mr. Wilde left trial work because his integrity and values were so frequently challenged. Returning to his roots in, and passion for, psychology, he became a psychotherapist, and is now a life, relationship, and spiritual coach. With over 16 years of experience in counseling/coaching, David's expertise is in helping people to attain their life goals and dreams, improving their marriages, relationships and family situations, and facilitating their personal and spiritual growth. He also consults on workplace, organizational, and career issues.
David states that the true practice of forgiveness, of others and ourselves, is the most direct, effective path to positive change. Having struggled with anxiety and endured his own relationship challenges, David says that he "practices what he preaches, and learns as he teaches." His work is informed by the principles of "A Course in Miracles" and other spiritual teachings.
In just one example of radical transformation, one of David's clients, a 46-year-old mechanic who had spent a lifetime consumed with anger, literally for the first time in his life found his anger entirely vanished in a matter of minutes, just in the time it took him to drive to work. He felt it was as if he'd been living someone else's life for the first half of his life and asked David how he could have lived so long without this knowledge.
David has been interviewed on Internet radio shows, is the writer of numerous articles on relationships and spirituality, has led divorce support groups, was the featured writer of a magazine relationship advice column, and has given talks, led workshops on relationships, spirituality, and communication skills, and led countless guided meditations.
He's also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, has been a consultant to corporate managers, led supervisory trainings, and performed Critical Incident Stress Debriefings for survivors of traumas, including that of September 11th, 2001. He was a milieu therapist on a psychiatric unit and worked for two of the largest behavioral health care companies.
David Wilde has an MSW from Hunter College in NY, a JD from Brooklyn Law School, and a BA in Psychology cum laude from Clark University in Massachusetts. His Facebook page is entitled "Spiritual Relationship Advice & Coaching"; his website is at http://www.davidswilde.com.
David is writing a book on the power of transformative forgiveness.
