NYC Non-profit City Lore Celebrates 25th Year With Facebook Sweepstakes

NEW YORK, June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- City Lore, a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering cultural equity and the living cultural heritage of New York City, is celebrating its 25th year anniversary with a sweepstakes to bring the organization's mission and vision to life.  The sweepstakes will run on the City Lore Facebook page www.facebook.com/Citylore for 25 days (June 5 – June 30), encouraging fans to upload an image of their favorite New York City cultural spot, with an optional short description or caption, for a chance to win a $500 gift card towards a New York City experience of their choice. 

Founded in 1986, City Lore takes pride in offering programs as dynamic and diverse as New York City itself, including educational programs, workshops and events to recognize grassroots cultures and ensure their living legacy in the community. Consistent with the organization's mission, the Facebook sweepstakes is designed to celebrate the organization's 25 years in New York City and to help further appreciation of the city's rich diversity.

City Lore was the recipient of MSL New York's Be:CAUSE Community Connected Grant: New Yorkers Helping Neighbors. Awarded annually, the grant provides up to $100,000 of pro bono communications support to one New York City nonprofit. The Facebook sweepstakes is part of a larger communications plan developed by MSL New York to unify and revitalize City Lore's brand identity.
