NYC's New Victory Theater Takes the Gold with New Website Launch

NEW YORK, Dec. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, The New Victory Theater, a project of The New 42nd Street, learned that they and Behavior LLC were awarded the 2012 Gold MarCom Award. In addition to its noteworthy design, the website boasts cutting-edge 2G Select Your Own Seat (SYOS) with HTML5 and scalable vector graphics developed by JCA's team of nonprofit website experts. "It was about time that the New Victory website entered the 21st century and JCA helped us to do that," said Lilaia Kairis, Director of Digital Services at The New 42nd Street. Their patrons had been asking for SYOS for some time. "As ecommerce became more sophisticated," said Lilaia, "it quickly became something that we were expected to have."  The New 42nd Street saw an opportunity to make their site more functional and enlisted JCA to help them realize this goal with a system selection, full CMS implementation and training.

The new site, www.newvictory.org, is a living, breathing representation of the theatrical organization and gives visitors a deeper understanding of how The New Victory Theater encourages arts integration into the lives of New York kids and families. The addition of SYOS has enabled them to offer their patrons the flexibility to truly customize their theatre experience. This will help New 42nd Street to connect with patrons in ways other organizations only dream of. SYOS will hopefully be a large step toward increased revenue and filling the house with even more satisfied customers.

What's next for The New 42nd Street? The wish list is long. Perhaps print-at-home ticketing or a more robust "my account" functionality. For now, they have their hands full with trying to temper their staff's enthusiasm for change and continued forward motion.
