Obama Club Netherlands Presents Unique Film to President Barack Obama
President Obama is scheduled to visit The Hague in light of the Nuclear Security Summit 2014
THE HAGUE, The Netherlands, March 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
The Obama Club Netherlands, the oldest and largest Obama club in the world, is planning to present a specially-produced "Welcome Mr. President" film to President Obama during his visit to the Nuclear Security Summit 2014 on March 24th and 25th.
They have invited President Obama to their 'Obama Buffet' on March 24th at the International Press Center Nieuwspoort and they hope they can present the film to him in person. At the event a special Obama grant will be awarded to one of the World Class The Hague students and the Michael Varekamp Jazz Quarter will perform the 'Obama Suite'. Approximately 300 guests are expected.
The "Welcome Mr. President" film has been produced by students of the InHolland University under professional guidance of members of the Obama Club. The film contains a 'briefing' on the city of The Hague, city of peace and justice, host of the NSS2014 and home of the Obama Club Netherlands. The film starts with a scene on the beach, where 600 school children form the words "Welcome President Obama".
The Obama Club Netherlands, with over 1000 members, was founded in 2008 after the founders from The Hague saw Barack Obama during the New Hampshire Primaries. The Obama Club Netherlands is impressed with President Obama as he is the first U.S. president who considers himself a true global citizen.
