Lisa Pryse, 30 year hospital security veteran, joins ODS Security as Vice President of Healthcare Practice
RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ODS Security announced the appointment of Lisa Pryse, CHPA, CPP, a nationally renowned expert on hospital security, as its Vice President of Healthcare Practice. Lisa was most recently Chief of Police & Public Safety at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Ms. Pryse has over 30 years experience in healthcare security & emergency preparedness and prior to EVMS, she was Chief of Police & Public Safety for WakeMed Hospital System, a 854-licensed bed health care system affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Since 1997, ODS Security has been providing security guard services to primarily commercial clientele including the healthcare sector (hospitals, medical systems and retirement communities including assisted living, nursing care) as well as Manufacturing & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate & Corporate Environments, Financial Institutions, Government Services, Construction Sites and Temporary Security Services.

Lisa continues to further the professionalism of the healthcare security industry by contributing her time to various industry boards and associations including International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police. Ms. Pryse has published industry related articles including "A Hospital Special Response Team – Katrina and Beyond" and is a frequent guest speaker for industry groups, most recently for the Joint Commission Resources (JCR) on Best Practices for Hospital Security.
