ODS Security Hires Health-Care Security Expert to Enhance Hospital Security Services

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ODS Security is excited to announce the recent employment of Chris Cromer as the Director of Security for Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington North Carolina, and Special Projects Lead for ODS' Healthcare Division. Chris brings considerable hospital security experience and education with him to the organization. He was most recently employed as the Senior Manager of Corporate Security for Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, NC.

Chris is a senior member of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety and currently serves as Vice Chair for the NC Chapter.  He is also an active member of the Southeastern Safety and Security Healthcare Council. He is certified by the Homeland Institute of Tactical Training, Inc. as an instructor, and certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute.

In addition to multiple professional affiliations within the industry, Chris brings almost 20 years of security experience to ODS. He has served as Senior Manager of Corporate Security for major healthcare institutions, security services organizations, and large corporations. He completed his education at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Administration of Justice, and he also holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Central Piedmont Community College.

Chris co-authored "Integrating New Facilities into Your Existing Security Program", highlighting assessments, site visits, and officer morale as tools to pave the way for successful merging of disparate hospital security programs. The article was published in the March/April 2010 Issue of Campus Safety and serves as a model for the evolving healthcare security environment.
