Official Launch of AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Golf Open at Heritage Resorts in Domaine de Bel Ombre, Mauritius

Heritage Resorts has been chosen to host the prestigious international AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Golf Open which will take place from 7th to 10th May 2015 on Heritage Golf Club golf course. The official launch was held on Friday 26th of August 2014 at the C Beach Club at Heritage Resorts located at Domaine de Bel Ombre. This world-class golf tournament will become the first ever tri-sanctioned tournament endorsed by the Asian Tours, Europeans Tours and Sunshine Tours, which are all members of the International Federation of PGA Tours.
Total prize fund of €1-million award for winners
The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open shall draw top performing golfers to each of the 3 Tours. Heritage Golf Club, which was recently ranked amongst the top-10 golf courses in Africa by global news broadcaster CNN, was picked as the perfect venue to host the 3 Tours altogether. The 138-man field, made up of at least 40 professionals from each of the participating Tours plus qualifiers and local invitees, will compete in a 72-hole stroke play championship over four days. The results from this tournament count towards the individual Tours' Orders of Merit and Official World Ranking points, Race to Dubai and Chase to the Investec Cup. The total prize fund of €1 million awarded to the professional golfers is the highest prize purse ever to be paid out for a tournament held in Mauritius.
